Bowl Burnt Porcelain

The Bowl Burnt Porcelain is paradoxical architecture. At first glance it appears to contain two pieces (one within the other) but the magic lies in the fact that it is a single entity, a duality created by the natural contraction of ceramic, where external and internal coexist in harmonic tension.

The outer rim burnt in deep black and rust green creates a jagged border that embraces the piece like a scarred shell. The white interior, smooth, untouched, speaks of what remains protected at the heart. This contrast between surfaces, the rough one facing the world, the smooth one guarding the intimate, is the conceptual heart of the work.

It is a bowl that contains multiple readings. From the outside, it seems threatening with its burnt edges. From the inside, it is refuge. It symbolizes how we all wear visible scars on the exterior while keeping intact spaces in our interior. It is not a flaw; it is truth made ceramic.
